We understand that supporting mental health in the workplace isn’t just a nice-to-have – it’s essential. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we’ve officially signed the Mindful Employer Charter for Employers Positive About Mental Health. This accreditation reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting a positive, supportive and non-judgemental working environment for all employees.
What Is the Mindful Employer Charter?
The Mindful Employer initiative was launched in 2004 and is supported by the NHS. It provides employers with easy access to professional workplace mental health training, resources, and guidance.
By signing the Charter, organisations like ours pledge to:
- Provide non-judgemental and proactive support to staff experiencing mental ill-health
- Respect confidentiality and be consistent in our approach
- Avoid making assumptions about a person’s ability to work
- Ensure that recruitment and selection procedures are fair and equitable
- Support and equip line managers to manage mental health in the workplace
- Encourage open conversations around mental health

Why This Matters to Us
Our people are our greatest asset. We believe that a healthy workplace is one where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported - both professionally and personally. By becoming a Mindful Employer, we’re taking concrete steps to foster an environment where mental wellbeing is not only recognised, but prioritised. We want all of our team to feel safe bringing their whole selves to work and know that support is available if and when it’s needed. This is part of a wider commitment to developing a positive workplace culture where wellbeing is not an afterthought - it's built into everything we do.
Looking Ahead
We’re proud to join a growing number of employers across the UK who are championing mental health at work. But signing the charter is just one step. We’re continuing to explore new ways to improve workplace wellbeing, provide training and resources to our teams and encourage open dialogue around mental health.
Together, we’re building a workplace where everyone can thrive.
